Living our best life

It's been almost a year since I've been on here...Much has happened for our family.  We are living our best life!  Living each day to the fullest and living in happiness.

2019 has been great to us so far and I know that God has big plans for us.  We're seeing things unfolding and waiting in prayer and faithful of what is ahead. Things on the horizon are life changing for Dave and I.  And our boys...the children who choose to be a part of this family.  You have the family that you're born into, the family that you create & that for Dave are his 4 kids - Bryan, Tiffany, Zach and Paige and for me it's Tanner.  Now we being married are a family with only 2 of those 5 children actually being present in our everyday lives.  We have come to peace with that and love the other three from a distance.  The choices we make in our lives are not always our own but we have to learn to accept them and go on.

So though we have 4 grandchildren, we only see 1, Jacelyn Rose, and we have another one on the way and do not know that we will ever meet that little girl.  If Dave's kids had their way, we would not be seeing any of them.  We have been lucky enough to have a relationship with his son's baby mama so we get to see one of the granddaughters on occasion.  It is what it is and we continue to pray for all of the kids and the grandbabies as well as a healthy pregnancy and easy delivery for Tiff and her new baby.

I'm lucky in that my son is just 13 and I still have time to influence him, he has these amazing Grandma's that are very present in his life and I pray that I am raising him up right.  I am far from perfect, but I hope he see's what it is to be a mother and a wife, to keep house and that he finds a partner that keeps a clean house, sees what a marriage is about from his step dad and I and learns about friendships and how to nurture those.  I pray that he gets the "big picture" of what life is.

Dave and I sold the old home and bought a home that is now truly just OUR FAMILIES home.  No ghosts of the old family or ex wife walking the halls in this home.  He always said that me coming in and what we did to the home on Cedar Ct made it a home - it was always just a house before.  No real care and love being put into anything.  We did so much work to the exterior and the interior.  It's amazing to look back at the pictures from when I moved into the house with him in 2013 to what it looked like when we left in 2018.

Now we have a home that is truly just ours, Tanner loves our new home as much as Dave and I!  It's gorgeous and we are now fixing things up as he had to do in the old house.  It's crazy how things break and aren't taken care of as they should be.  We as people are all so different.  Not bad, just different.  We have a new blank canvas to work with.

Living this life and God has given me and loving it!  This picture prompted me to hop back onto my blog....
