It's working!

Weight Watchers Points Plus that is...I'm down 5 pounds!  YOO HOO...This really is a lifestyle change & not just some diet! I'm losing the pounds & going to keep them off!


I've made it like a game of sorts in counting my points.  Thank goodness I found this website called skinnytaste.com!  I have found some really good recipes on here.  Now my husband might now agree with me when I say that...Last night was HILARIOUS!  I made a potato soup recipe from there & he said it looked like porridge & was just wrong!  You pureed the cooked cauliflower & potatoes so yes, there were no big chunks of potato & he was so not happy about that!  I have several other recipes picked out to try this week!  I did make a recipe from the site that he did like this week though & it was PHENOMENAL I must say!  Crock Pot Santa Fe Chicken is a MUST TRY!  So good! 

Heaven in a bowl...

If you like Oatmeal...you'll love this!  I was skeptical of blueberry in my oatmeal as I'm a big Apples & Cinnamon and Maple & Brown Sugar fan, but WHOA...this stuff is so so so good!  I eat a bowl of this for breakfast & it fills me up and is so yummy!!



Time to shed some pounds!

The only time pudge looks cute, is when we're little!  I was thinking about that over the weekend when we were at an indoor play place & I was sitting on the couch watching the kiddos run by.  These little girls looked so cute in their tight little leggings, fat rolls, pudgy diapered bottoms...The Moms with the pudge, as I myself have, not so much!  Though thankfully none of them were wearing leggings to show the pudge...lucky for others, I don't either!

Over the past three years or so I've packed on 25 pounds & it's TIME TO SHED THE FAT!  I want to lose 30 - 35!  I started going to Weight Watchers on Feb 5th & it's like a game for me.  How many points am I eating, how many exercise points can I earn & how many steps have I taken today?  Do I really want to eat that?  Is it point worthy?!  My Mom told me about these Weight Watchers ice cream bars - HOLY SMOKES, I enjoyed one lats night as I watched The Bachelor & it was AH-MAZ-ING!  Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ice Cream Bars & they are only 2 points! This points plus thing is a system that is really working for me!  It's keeping me accountable for what I'm eating b/c I'm writing everything down & honestly keeping track of what I'm putting into my mouth!

Added another tree to the house this year, changed T's tree & put a little tree in our bedroom!  So many sparkly christmas lights!  I love it!

I had no idea I was so close to having this done!  I started it right after having Tanner's pictures taken in September!  It took me literally two minutes to get this into jpeg format!  I am an IDIOT I tell you!  LOL...Thanks Josh for the great pictures your taken of my little sweetie the past four years!  You bring out the best smiles!

OK, so I'm a little late with this posting!  HA.,..3 months late!  But, once again we got some great pictures taken at Portrait Innovations with their best photographer - Josh Weast!  After the fiasco last year, I made sure to ask for Josh from the time I made our appointment this year!

The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name.  In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.  It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; for part of us went with you, the day God called you home.  you left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.  Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

This was in a cousins rememberance from his funeral and I'd never heard it before, but I loved it.  This morning I'm looking through a catalog & saw a frame wtih this saying on it.  It makes em think of my Grandma whom we lost in Oct 2004.  And it makes me think of my friend Holly that is saying goodbye to her Grandmother today.

They really do have such a special place in our hearts, Grandma's I mean.  I still miss my Grandma everyday and think of her probably just as often!
